On Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, over 46,000 CARATs (SEVENTEEN fans) gathered at Nagoya’s Vantelin Dome to share an exceptional moment with SEVENTEEN during its Japanese tour, « SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ TO JAPAN ». Our team had the privilege of being invited to this event, providing an unforgettable glimpse into this experience.
The tour’s title, “FOLLOW“, carries a message that SEVENTEEN, having become the sun during its third world tour “BE THE SUN” last year, and CARATs come together under the name “TEAM SVT“, projecting positive values.
In continuation of this theme, the tour is accompanied by “THE CITY“: a series of events and partnerships set up in the city and around the dome, offering special attractions for CARATs.

This weekend, we went to the festivities in Nagoya, accompanied by HYBE team, who introduced us to different experiences:

- SEVENTEEN ‘FOLLOW’ THE CITY CHUBU POWER MIRAI TOWER: A splendid collaboration on the observation platform, enhanced by a special illumination visible at night, personalized tickets, and member-specific photo spots on the 5th floor, accompanied by the view of Nagoya and the group’s Japanese songs.

(*) The stamp rally included 53 stamps throughout Japan, with 13 in Nagoya. For every 3 stamps collected, CARATs received a random member photocard, totaling 17 photocards nationwide.

SEVENTEEN TOUR “FOLLOW” TO JAPAN
Before entering the venue, we took the time to interview some CARATs, ultra excited, for most of whom it was the first live concert with the group.
CARAT waiting in line at Yabaton: “I’ll be at tomorrow’s concert (referring to the December 3 concert in Nagoya). It will be my first time seeing them live, so I can’t wait!”
CARATs outside the dome: “It’s my first time, and it’s the second time for my friend. She went to the concert two days ago (November 30 in Nagoya). I’m looking forward to them performing ‘Fallin’ flower‘, even though they probably won’t perform it tonight”, “For me, I can’t wait to hear ‘April shower‘!”
CARAT outside the dome: “It’s my very first SEVENTEEN concert. I look forward to the last moments where the members have fun on stage! I can’t wait to hear the hip-hop unit, and I’m excited to hear their new songs live next time.”
CARATs outside the dome: “I’m excited to see the performance of ‘Home;Run‘ and ‘Left&Right‘ with the festival decor!” “I really like the opening with ‘Super‘, I can’t wait to see it live!” “And for me, I look forward to seeing DINO’s new song ‘Wait‘ performed one day.” (A fortunate moment for this CARAT, as he will perform it briefly later in the evening.)
If you had the chance to meet SEVENTEEN, what would you like to say?
“I would like to thank them. Thanks to them, I can do things I didn’t think I could do before.”
“I love you! Marry me! Thank you for giving us so much happiness!”
“ありがとうございます (‘Thank you very much’). Be healthy, eat well, sleep well. And thank you for walking this path with us.” – CARAT
Fueled by the excitement of the concert, we headed to the gates of Nagoya’s Vantelin Dome, and in an instant, the show began.

The setlist was a crescendo of energy and emotion, starting with catchy hits like “손오공 (Super)“, “Don Quixote“, and “Clap“. The memorable moment from “Clap“, where members follow VERNON‘s moves, was reprised several times, notably during “Left & Right“, teasing how MINGYU presented himself at the “2023 MAMA AWARDS” a few days earlier.
During the first interactions with the audience and the members’ introductions, DINO briefly danced to his new song “Wait“, while HOSHI showcased “Screen time“, his latest collaboration with the group “EPIK HIGH“. Sweet moments followed with “울고 싶지 않아 (Don’t wanna cry)” and “Thanks“. The vocal, performance and hip-hop subunits each shined with captivating performances of old and new tracks. Big hits such as “Home;Run” and “Left & Right” electrified the crowd, supported by VCR interludes which added a visual dimension to the concert. More intimate moments with “April shower” and “Kidult” touched hearts, followed by “Anyone”, “Good to me (Japanese version)” and “Hot“.
During the ending exchanges, DINO once again briefly performed his latest solo release “Wait”, this time with DK and HOSHI. Then, SEUNGKWAN tried the choreography with what he knew, arousing the amusement of SEVENTEEN and CARATs. The encore had surprises in store with “Sara sara”, “Run to you” and “To you”. Throughout the concert, SEVENTEEN demonstrated great strength and power, accompanied by impressive light shows and the harmony of its fans’ lightsticks.

Members’ words during the encore:
“Thank you very much for this Daesang (“prize”, referring to the first prize won a few days earlier during the “2023 MAMA AWARDS”). I believe the message “if you believe it, you will achieve it” is perfect. This is the message we want to convey as a group, thank you very much.” – HOSHI
“I second what HOSHI just said and I would like to add “Don’t lose hope”.” – WONWOO
“나고야, 내거야!” (play on words, “Nagoya, you are mine!” in Korean) – DK, JOSHUA, DINO, WONWOO
“I have mixed feelings. I still can’t believe we’re in such a big dome. We dreamed of making a venue this big. Thank you so much.” – THE8

The finale, “Call call call” and “Very nice” a dozen times, concluded our unforgettable musical experience. A concert that will remain engraved in the memory of SEVENTEEN fans.
The words of our reporter: « I really didn’t think this day was going to come. I realized my childhood dream. After 8 years of waiting, I saw my favorite music group perform for the first time! (They really exist!) To all our European CARATs readers: I personally sent good vibes for them to come and do a tour in Europe quickly (mostly by mentioning it to its team)! Hoping to see SEVENTEEN in France next time! »
