Girl group GEENIUS will debut in the music industry in 2024.
GEENIUS (Yeyoung, Sion, Mika, Joe and Andamiro) will build a new nest in its agency HOMe (house of music entertainment) and release its debut single “VOYAGE” at 12 p.m. KST on January 5.
HOMe is a company created by the combination of production label Sure Place and several executives from girl group Loona’s former agency. Additionally, IT company Theom participated and Korean management expert Hwang Jung Moon (former CEO of Major9) joined the company to share the new beginning of GEENIUS.
GEENIUS consists of YEYOUNG and SION, who made their mark on Mnet’s “Girls Planet 999“, and JOE, MIKA and ANDAMIRO, who made their faces on JTBC’s “Mixnine”.
GEENIUS, who has been preparing to debut as a trainee at Blockberry Creative for about six years, recently joined HOMe after its exclusive contract expired and will make its official debut. It is expected to boast a high degree of completeness as they have been preparing for their debut without changing members for over five years.
An agency official said: “I am so happy that GEENIUS, whose debut was canceled several times, can debut after a long time of six years. I can’t wait to finally be able to show fans the true side of the members I support.”
GEENIUS will release its first single “VOYAGE” at 12 p.m. KST on January 5 and debut in earnest.
