Pledis Entertainment‘s new rookie group TWS broke out with a new visual resembling a cartoon character.
TWS released the version of “Weverse Albums,” official photos of its debut mini album “SPARKLING BLUE,” on its official SNS on January 11 at midnight KST. Designed like a cartoon, the official photos capture the pure and natural atmosphere of the six members. They have raised expectations for their debut with new mood pictures that add cartoon elements following previous releases “Sparkling” and “Lucky”.
The group photo of the “Weverse Albums” version is reminiscent of a scene from a children’s cartoon. In this photo, TWS is watching the sunset together. The common gaze of the six members towards a place and the elegant decor which announces a glorious youth attract all eyes. A casual look in hooded outfits, natural and comfortable, maximizes the childhood of members.
Individual photos show each person’s unique personality. They include SHINYU, who looks forward at the camera and shows his beautiful face, DOHOON, who exudes an elegant aura with a sharp jaw, YOUNGJAE’s bright and warm side profile, HANJIN’s clear atmosphere like a cartoon character anime, JIHOON, who smiles while pulling the strings of a hoodie, and KYUNGMIN’s cute and strange three-dimensional expression.
TWS is Pledis Entertainment‘s first “boyband” in nine years and Hybe Labels‘ first debutant in 2024. The group aspires to become valuable friends who make the daily lives of audiences and fans special with fresh and bright energy. They will stimulate the pure and beautiful emotions of their childhood by introducing their own genre, Boyhood Pop, which developed from the team’s identity.
TWS’ debut album “SPARKINLIG” will be released at 6 p.m. KST on January 22. The debut album will feature a total of five tracks, from the title track “첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아“, to “Unplugged Boy“, “First hooky“, “BFF” and the pre-released track “Oh my… 7s.” The title song, “첫 만남은 계획대로 되지 않아“, is a pop genre hybrid with a synthesizer sound and demonstrates a natural and candid charm with the excitement of first meeting.
TWS will open its pop-up store “TWS: THE MUSEUM VISITOR” at Hyundai Seoul on the 18th. In the pop-up store, exhibitions and experience opportunities will be offered to get a closer look at TWS. Through this event, which shows its charm before its official debut, TWS plans to stimulate the enthusiasm of K-pop fans with a variety of configurations.
