JANG WON YOUNG of the IVE group hopes to see the end of the tunnel in the legal proceedings against “사이버렉카 (Cyberlecka)”.
Starship Entertainment, the artist’s agency, said on January 17: “Since November 2022, we have been pursuing civil and criminal proceedings as well as overseas prosecutions against ‘탈덕수용소’ who continually harasses our artists. The criminal complaint was recently sent by the police to the prosecutor’s office and is awaiting a strict judicial judgment, but the civil suit filed by our company is expected to be litigated in January.“
“We will inform you again via our official position once all trials are completed. Starship operates a regular monitoring system to protect the rights of its celebrities, including honor, privacy and personality, and will continue to take all possible legal measures against artist defamation and further damages without agreement to the ‘future.”
Earlier in July last year, Starship Entertainment filed a lawsuit for damages against Park, the operator of the YouTube channel “탈덕수용소”, who continued to spread false information regarding IVE.
JANG WON YOUNG also personally filed a lawsuit for damages in October last year, and JANG WON YOUNG‘s legal representative presented evidence that the videos were fake, claiming that all content posted on the channel were consistent with false facts and insults.
Additionally, Starship Entertainment and JANG WON YOUNG sued Park for defamation and insults, and the Gangnam Police Station is currently investigating.
