While BTOB members have just changed company, the singer LIM HYUNSIK just released his second solo album.
The singer had, some time ago, announced that he was working on a solo project. It’s not been a surprise to see the announcement of his new album.
The title-track of the album “THE YOUNG MAN AND THE DEEP SEA” , « La Mar », is a very emotional balad. Talking about extreme loneliness, loosing yourself and loosing our dreams, the MV shows up those topics by showing LIM HYUNSIK under water, sinking down and down in the ocean.
However, the second part of the song talks about hope, showing the singer getting out of water, walking on land, without the need of the respirator.
The song seems to talk about the hard times in the life of the singer but also the support of the fans, especially when he talks about a « blue light » that goes to whisper to him. Blue is the color of the group and represents the fan’s community, Melody.
BTOB debuted in 2012 under the label of CUBE ENTERTAINMENT with their song “Insane“, from the album “BORN TO BEAT“. They have, since then, known a great success in South Korea, especially thanks to their song “Missing you” that won, by it’s own self, a total of 17 prizes. The members have left CUBE ENTERTAINMENT by the end of year 2023 and signed contracts in different agencies.
