KOONGWORLD, a global direct music exchange platform, will host a new song competition.

KOONGWORLD recently launched a new song contest project to compete on tracks from the new album of popular Filipino idol boy group PLUUS and girl group YGIG. Project participants can enter the competition with new creative songs suitable for each team, and after screening, the agency selects three tracks for each team, produces a mini album this year and presents new songs around the world, mainly in the Phillippines.
Their agency, “SBTown”, is a Filipino entertainment company founded by CEO Jeong Seong Han, a comedian known to the public as the producer of the Philippines’ top national idol, SB19, and launched PLUUS the following year after the girl group YGIG in 2022, based on the differentiated know-how of CEO Jeong who gave birth and rebirth of “P-POP”. YGIG particularly attracted attention last year by challenging Korean activities through the Jeonju Ultimate Music Festival and Arirang TV’s “Simply K-pop CON-TOUR.”

SBTown said: “We are very excited to host an event with KOONGWORLD, a global direct music platform, to go beyond Southeast Asia to the world. Starting with this event, we hope that the Korean and Filipino music exchange venue will be activated, and we request the interest and participation of various composers so that great songs can be brought together.”
The new songwriting project of boy group “PLUUS” and girl group “YGIG” hosted by KOONGWORLD will be available on the official website of Koong World until the 31st, and newcomers among writers established people can apply freely.
