SHINEE group member and solo artist TAEMIN proved the popularity of “역솔남 (Paradox Man)“.
TAEMIN ended member recruitment for his first official fan club “TAEMate” via Wonderwall’s fandom platform, Fromm Store, on June 2.
“TAEMate” is a combination of “TAEMIN” and “MATE”, which means “close friend” and is a name that means “Taemin’s closest friend“.
When recruiting “TAEMate”, TAEMIN prepared various benefits such as digital and physical membership cards and official fan kits, pre-sale benefits for solo concerts and fan meetings, priority participation in public broadcasting and access to members-only content.
TAEMIN debuted as a member of SHINEE in 2008 and is in his 17th year since his debut, but this is his first time recruiting a personal fan club. In particular, “짝꿍 (buddy, comrade sitting next to you)” was a name that TAEMIN had long used as a nickname for his fans, so many fans responded to it.
In fact, TAEMIN released undisclosed images via Fromm Channel on June 3 at midnight KST, and although only four were released, traffic piled up and some users experienced temporary access errors.
TAEMIN, a K-pop pioneer for 17 years and nicknamed “역솔남” since 2014, has pioneered genres that only he can own, such as the solo albums “MOVE,” “ACE,” “WANT” and “GUILTY” showed overwhelming power among fans.
Last month, TAEMIN met fans at Incheon’s Inspire Arena with SHINee’s encore concert “SHINee World 6 [Perfect Illumination: SHINee Back]”. Since then, he has continued his various activities, including participating in “놀뭐 대축제 (How do you play? Festival)” of the MBC entertainment program “How do you play?” on June 13.
