Girl group (G)I-DLE donated 50 million won to support flood reconstruction.

The Korean Red Cross (Chairman Kim Chul Ssoo) announced on July 29 that members MIYEON, MINNIE, SOYEON, YUQI, and SHUHUA donated a total of 50 million won, or 10 million won each, to support flood reconstruction.
The donation was made when (G)I-DLE members decided to join in the support and reconstruction after 200 years of record rainfall, mindful of the Red Cross markings and humanitarian activities used as markers for protecting life under the Geneva Convention.
All (G)I-DLE members stated:
“We hope that the flood victims will find comfort and return to their daily lives as soon as possible through the life-saving humanitarian activities of the Red Cross.”
Kim Chul Soo, chairman of the Korean Red Cross, said, “I believe the girls’ support will be a comfort and a big boost to the victims in the flood-hit area,” adding, “The Korean Red Cross, a legal disaster management agency and a humanitarian aid agency, will do its best to repair the damage caused by the floods.“
