YouTuber “탈덕수용소” has been fined for defaming singer KANG DANIEL.
The prosecution asked the court to impose a fine of 3 million won at a final hearing on August 12 in the defamation case under the Information and Communications Network Act of the operator of the YouTube channel “탈덕수용소” held by Judge Lee Joongu of the 18th Criminal Branch of the Seoul Central District Court.
In her final statement, “A” bowed her head, saying, “At the time, I thought lightly that I was only conveying what others said, not what I thought, but I was immature and short of ideas. I am sorry for hurting the victims.”
“It was filed in the form of a request for public opinion, but it was not intended to slander the victim,” she said.
In early 2022, “A” was tried for defaming KANG DANIEL by posting a video titled “국민 남친 배우 아이돌의 문란한 사생활” on his YouTube channel.
“A”‘s first trial will be held on September 11 at 2 p.m. KST.
