On August 15th, 2024, it was announced that JYP ENTERTAINMENT‘s STRAY KIDS (BANGCHAN, LEE KNOW, CHANGBIN, HYUNJIN, HAN, FELIX, SEUNGMIN, I.N) set a new record on CIRCLE CHART as their mini album « ATE », released on July 19th, 2024, has surpassed 3 million cumulative sales.
The group had previously peaked at number one on CIRCLE CHART’s monthly album chart in July 2024 with « MAXIDENT », released in October 2022, and « ★★★★★ », released in June 2023. Following the release of « 樂-STAR » in November 2023, the boys achieved sales of over 3 million copies for four consecutive albums with « ATE ».
The mini album gained popularity. It entered No. 1 on the « BILLBOARD 200 » on August 3, as did the mini albums « ODDINARY » and « MAXIDENT » in 2022, and the album « ★★★★★ » in 2023. « 樂-STAR » topped the charts for the fifth consecutive time.
The title song « Chk chk boom » and other songs from the album also continue to be popular. « Chk chk boom » entered the « BILLBOARD HOT 100 », setting its own record and making its third appearance on the chart. The music video « JJAM » ranked first among the top trending YOUTUBE music videos worldwide.
STRAY KIDS will begin its new world tour « dominATE » and perform a total of four concerts at KSPO DOME in Seoul, from August 24th to 25th, 2024 and August 31th to September 1st, 2024.
