The group THE BOYZ, which terminated its exclusive contract with its original agency, pursues its group activities within the new label 78 RECORDS.
78 RECORDS announced on September 14: “We are exclusively handling the group activities of SANGYEON, JACOB, YOUNGHOON, HYUNJAE, JUYEON, KEVIN, Q, SUNWOO, and ERIC of THE BOYZ,” adding: “We will fully support group activities and pursue close cooperation so that the members’ will and direction can shine.” The individual activities of the members will take place separately in their respective agencies.
78 RECORDS is a label founded by experts from major agencies such as KAKAO ENTERTAINMENT, led by co-representatives who together shaped major turning points since debut, notably the victory in “ROAD TO KINGDOM”. The label emphasized that it would present differentiated music and content based on a deep understanding of the artists, and that it would focus on the support provided to the fandom THE B.
THE BOYZ had signed an exclusive contract with ONE HUNDRED in 2024, but requested the termination of the exclusive contract at the beginning of this year for reasons such as non-payment of settlements. The court accepted last April the injunction application for suspension of the exclusive contract’s validity that they had filed.
