Taiwan’s No. 1 girl group GENBLUE will be making its Korean debut in just one day.
GENBLUE (XXIN, Ayeon, Yuan, Lili, Ayako, and Nico) released two versions of the music video teaser for its debut song “Cococo” on its official YouTube channel on the 30th and 31st of last month, raising expectations for its debut.
In the first teaser released first, GENBLUE exudes a pure youthful vibe with bright smiles and school uniform looks. The members then wear headphones and transform with trendy and intense style at the same time, surprising viewers with 180 degrees of different charms.
In the second teaser, GENBLUE showed the essence of “Young & Hip” at the same time as they appeared. Not only did they capture the kitsch and trendy charm at the same time through a sensual style, but they also made people feel an aura that cannot be replaced in their performances, which had a strong impact.
In particular, part of the sound source and performance of “Cococo” was revealed in the second teaser. GENBLUE showed confident singing and performance to a pulsating beat, while attracting more expectations for their debut with their free-spirited and confident charm.
GENBLUE, who revealed its unique group identity with just a teaser, will officially debut in Korea with “Cococo” at 6 p.m. KST on September 2. GENBLUE is a six-member group selected from the Taiwanese survival show “NEXT GIRLZ,” and previously ranked No. 1 in album sales in Taiwan (according to iTop Chart Taiwan).
Meanwhile, while GENBLUE has already conquered Taiwan, attention is turning to what kind of music and stages will capture the hearts of K-pop fans after their Korean debut.
