JD1 has released spoiler photos of his third digital single, “책임져,” which will be released on October 12, on his official SNS on September 23.
There are a total of two images released, full of retro-style sensibilities, raising expectations for the new song.
Various objects, such as cassette players and public telephone booths, were placed throughout the photos to evoke nostalgia, and the analogous landscaped alleys seen as the main location were shown, arousing curiosity.
In addition, cans painted with primary-colored spray cans and cute scribbles engraved on the blue public telephone booth added a kitsch and cheerful feeling.
JD1’s new song “책임져” is a remake of the song of the same name by the group Untitle, released in 1996. It contains a new interpretation of the performance and an exciting melody with JD1’s unique feeling. You can see JD1 differentiate himself from the previous concept by creating an exclusive retro sensibility.
The new song is the first new song in four months since his debut title “Who Am I” released in January and his second digital single “ERROR 405” released in May, showing an exceptionally fast pace of his third activity with his new song in 2024.
JD1 is an independent character newly created by singer-producer Jung Dongwon to challenge various genres, and is an idol designed to challenge the K-pop market. He was nominated for first place on music programs when he debuted with his debut single “WHO AM I”, and recently completed his first activity in Japan with his new song “Error 405“.
