YVES
YVES illuminated Paris!

After a first concert with her group LOONA at the Zénith de la Villette in September 2022, YVES was back on December 12 in the French capital for her tour “YVES APPLE CINNAMON CRUNCH TOUR 2024“. Invited by MyMusicTaste, KSTATION TV had the honor of attending the very first solo concert of YVES.
From the first seconds of this concert, YVES immersed us in her unique musical universe with the performance of her famous title “Loop“. Encouraged by the Engdu (fandom name), she continued with several titles from her latest mini-album “I DID“. Through “Tik tok“, “Gone girl” and “Viola“, YVES revealed a more intimate side of her personality, showing all the depth and emotions of her inner self.
In addition to her perfectly worked performances, YVES has prepared several covers as a gift for her fans as Christmas approaches. From Ariana Grande‘s “Santa Tell Me” and The Weeknd‘s “Die for You” to Harry Style‘s “Falling” and Sabrina Carpenter‘s “Espresso“, YVES showcased the full scope of her vocal talents through covers that she made her own.
But that’s not the only gift planned by the soloist. Before the concert, fans could ask YVES questions via a dedicated space — questions taken up on stage by YVES in a Question and Answers session between her and the Engdu. Thus, the soloist shared the advantages and disadvantages of being a solo artist or her motivations during difficult times.
“The advantage as a solo artist is that I can show everything I want with my voice. So I was very happy to be able to show you different styles in each album, but the fact that the other members are not there makes me a little sad.”
“My fans gave me the courage and strength to continue. You may think I’m lying, but during difficult times, I think of you who are far away from me and I do everything to be able to meet you.”
Moreover, for this first solo concert, YVES did not come alone! The latter was accompanied by a dear friend: BLAH. For his first time in Paris, the artist presented us a sweet moment through five songs including a cover of “As it was” by Harry Styles. We will particularly remember the songs “Time slip movie” and “But i’ll still love you” which conquered fans and transported us into the unique and profound universe of BLAH. Before leaving the stage, the soloist wanted to thank not only YVES for this moment but also the French fans for the welcome.
“I am happy to be able to perform in front of you.” – BLAH
After this moment suspended in time, YVES returned for the last part of this concert with more personal titles like “Hashtag” and “Dim“. Finally, YVES did not let the atmosphere drop by returning one last time on stage with her dancers for a festive encore on “Loop” before taking the time to thank the Engdu for their support.
“It’s an honor to perform solo in Paris. I never expected so many people to be here. Thank you for creating such beautiful memories for me. This is just the beginning, but I really want to thank you.” – YVES
Finally, we will remember from this concert the vocal talent of YVES and her stage presence. The singer not only touched us with her voice but also with her good humor and energy on stage. For more than an hour, YVES made one with her fans creating a unique and touching complicity with them.
Finally, YVES will continue her North American tour in Montreal on January 16, 2025.
