Global BL (Boys love) content platform HAEVENLY (CEO Jang Jihye) will launch a subscription service.

HEAVENLY is a BL genre-specific content platform that specializes in the genre-specific, male-on-male romance essence initially aimed at female audiences in the OTT market dominated by major platforms such as Netflix, TVing, and Disney Plus.
HEAVENLY, which has always served K-BL dramas that play a role in the global popularity of “K” content, Thai BL dramas that have become popular content for the entire nation, and Japanese BL dramas that have established themselves as a cutting-edge genre, will launch a subscription service following the existing individual content purchase service to increase the convenience of users and provide in-depth content only for subscribed members, such as commentaries, interviews with actors and directors.
In particular, as HEAVENLY is the first to launch a subscription system by a content platform that has developed on a community basis of a specific genre, we are eager to see how it will affect the uniform market of OTT competition. With the recent expansion of the content platform structure to short-form platforms, HAEVENLY wants to focus on the nature of the community and the direction of the content rather than the transformation of the form.
“HEAVENLY has not followed a short-term trend since the beginning, but instead focused on the nature of fantasy and original love stories, so we opened a subscription service to show the services that users have wanted. We will continue to show you how it evolves according to users’ needs,” said Jang Jihye, CEO of Heavenly.
