GFRIEND surprisingly revealed part of the song’s title and music a day before the pre-release of the song’s new title.
According to the tracklist of the special album “SEASONS OF MEMORIES” released on the official social media channels of Source Music and GFRIEND (Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB, and Umji) at noon on January 5, the new album will include two songs, “Season of memories” and “Always,” in which YUJU and UMJI worked on the song.
The title track “Season of memories” is a song that looks back on GFRIEND’s past footsteps, and it combines the group’s unique emotions represented by heart-wrenching melodies, thrilling developments, and beautiful and lyrical lyrics. The six members will first release the song at noon KST on January 6th before the album’s official release on the 13th, welcoming fans and audiences who have been waiting for a long time.
GFRIEND uploaded a prologue performance video featuring some parts of the new songs on Hybe Label‘s YouTube channel at 2 p.m. KST on January 5. The video shows the members posing for the ending of “Rough” and then cuts to a black screen with the phrase “OUR TIME HAS BEGUN TO FLOW AGAIN,” arousing curiosity about the new choreography. Then, part of the new song’s accompaniment, which is cheerful and sentimental, was revealed for the first time. Despite the short line, GFRIEND’s unique musical color was revealed, making fans feel a whirlwind.
GFRIEND will release its second concept photo at midnight on the title track’s pre-release day (the 6th), and will make its comeback with the special album’s mood film at noon. The music video teaser for the title track will be released at midnight on the album’s official release day (the 13th), and the music video will be released at 6 p.m. KST.
GFRIEND will appear at the 39th “Golden Disc Awards” ceremony, which will be held at Paypay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan on the 5th, to announce their splendid comeback. The “Golden Disc Awards” is an awards ceremony where GFRIEND won the Rookie of the Year Award and the Best Group Award, once again adding meaning to the stage to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their debut. GFRIEND’s appearance will air on JTBC at 1:20 a.m. KST on January 7.
