IVE (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Lee Seo) has added colorful concept trailers to its return.
Starship Entertainment‘s agency released a teaser video for IVE’s third EP album “IVE EMPATHY” on its official channel and SNS on January 5.
The three-minute video, which was released, consists of three chapters, reminiscent of a series. The first chapter begins with the members expressing various facial expressions and emotions. Their various emotional performances, ranging from smiling together, to anger and tears of sadness, attracted attention.
The second chapter continues with the members’ acting. While explaining the problem with the headset, he expressed his frustration at not being able to understand, followed by phrases such as “Don’t you understand me?” and “What do you mean?” which attracted interest. The space cracked in an instant due to the members’ continued quarrel, and the atmosphere seemed to calm down when they responded to the answer after a heated argument.
The last chapter showed reconciliation in their own way. Warm scenes continued, such as hugging or playing with hands and laughing together, and the members all gathered in one space to accept the heart-shaped decision and shout, “I love you!” In particular, the members’ sweet voice and overwhelming melody in the song that can be heard along with the video left a strong impression, further increasing expectations for the new record.
The first chapter-style trailer video presented by IVE has enhanced the level of immersion by combining the members’ emotional acting and sensual visual beauty. Among them, comments such as “Not perfect, but it’s good“, “Describing empathy“, and “You and me, WE” written in each chapter contain a message that the six members want to convey, which can be seen in the album name “IVE EMPATHY“. Thus, the video that contains IVE’s infinite but subjective worldview makes us even more curious about the album’s story.
Earlier, after announcing the title track “Rebel heart” as a pre-release on the 13th, IVE released a teaser video of “Coming soon“, drawing attention to the concept the group will be based on.
IVE, who released its second EP album “IVE SWITCH” in April last year, has a completely different atmosphere. Starting from today’s trailer photo, IVE’s promotional schedule will be released sequentially, featuring concept photos, concept films, and music video teasers.
In addition, IVE recently won three awards for the main album awards and the main digital music awards, as well as K-pop world artist awards, with its second EP album “IVE SWITCH” and title track “Heya” released last year at the “39th Golden Disc Awards” held in Fukuoka, Japan, showing its potential as a popular idol group.
In the meantime, IVE will release their pre-release title track “Rebel heart” on January 13 and their album “IVE EMPATHY” on February 3.
