Virtual idol group PLAVE has released a pre-release song ahead of the mini album’s release, raising expectations.
On January 25, PLAVE caught the attention of fans by releasing a special pre-release video for Island, a track from its third mini album “Caligo Pt.1,” which will be released on February 3 on their official YouTube channel.
In the released video, the members of PLAVE sing on a white snowfield, creating a romantic and lonely atmosphere unique to winter. The video, which started with a black and white screen, was converted to a color screen according to the live stream, and a beautiful aurora with bright colors created a dramatic atmosphere by coloring the night sky.
In particular, PLAVE’s sumptuous tone, soft piano melody, and English lyrical lyrics captivated fans’ ears and further increased expectations for the mini album’s release.
PLAVE’s mini album “Caligo Pt.1” has been around for about five months since the release of the digital single “PUMP UP THE VOLUM!” in August. It has been attracting attention with its unconventional visuals and concepts that completely deviate from the lively and dynamic charm shown in the previous single.
On the day of the release of the new song “Pump up the volume!” in August, PLAVE reached the top of the Melon Charts HOT100 and TOP100, and became No. 1 in terrestrial music broadcasting. In addition, the cumulative streaming based on all songs released has reached 1 billion won, proving its popularity by ranking it as the record with the shortest time ever recorded in Melon’s Hall of Fame “Billions Club”.
