HOSHI and WOOZI of SEVENTEEN release their first duo album “BEAM” alongside the music video for “동갑내기“.

On March 10th, HOSHI and WOOZI, respective leaders of SEVENTEEN‘s performance and vocal sub-units, released their first duo album, “BEAM“, accompanied by the official music video for one of its tracks, “동갑내기“.

Echoing the energetic sound of “Aju Nice“, one of SEVENTEEN’s most streamed songs, “동갑내기“, which literally means “same-age friends“, refers to the fact that HOSHI and WOOZI were both born in 1996.

The music video presents the arrival of various art pieces, with the duo themselves portrayed as photographed, dusted-off, and sketched artworks. Viewers can spot multiple symbolic references throughout: a spider alluding to HOSHI’s solo single “Spider“, the number 96 representing their birth year, and a fusion of performance styles and verses paying homage to previous SEVENTEEN hits like “Super” and “Hit“. The video also includes nods to memorable moments from their past content, such as the phrase “salute“, which they used a lot during their travel “Nana Tour with SEVENTEEN” in Italy.
