KATSEYE - LARA
LARA, a member of the international girl group KATSEYE, produced by Hybe, has publicly revealed her sexual orientation to her fans.
On March 24, LARA came out as gay on the social media platform Weverse. She told her family that she came out first, saying, “I was scared. I was also scared of the wall called ‘people of color.’ But I’m proud of myself.“
“I’m grateful for the support of my fans and the people I share my life with. My sexual identity is an integral part of me. I’m absolutely not ashamed of it,” she said.
LARA, an American of Indian descent born in 2005, is the lead singer of the group KATSEYE, a six-member group co-produced by Hybe and Geffen Records, which debuted last year.
Fans are saying, “It’s not surprising.” They explain that it doesn’t matter because LARA hasn’t hidden her sexual orientation. Some fans have even publicly expressed their support.
