NCT’s MARK is opening his own era.
MARK’s debut solo album, “THE FIRSTFRUIT,” will be released on April 7th at 6 PM KST on several music platforms. It will feature 13 songs, including the title track “1999,” and will be divided into four sections based on cities, including Toronto, New York, Vancouver, and Seoul.
The title track, “1999,” is a pop song that creates a joyful atmosphere by combining grandiose orchestration with funky guitar, brass, and whistling sounds. The song, which freely shifts between tight rap and falsetto, exudes a fresh charm that MARK lacks.
In the lyrics, he expresses his happiness as if this moment, the one for his first solo album, had been born in 1999, and his ambition to become an artist born at the end of the century.
Furthermore, the title track was included in the Toronto section, which evokes MARK’s early days. The author himself wrote and composed his sincere thoughts, which is enough to confirm the personality of the solo artist.
The concept image “MARK,” posted on the official account on March 25, received positive reviews, capturing MARK’s original appearance in a pure and emotional way.
In addition, MARK will hold a showcase to celebrate the release of his first solo album on April 7 at 8 p.m. KST at the FB Theater of Seongsu Culture and Arts Madang, to preview the title track “1999.”
