SONG MINHO
Rapper SONG MINHO has “broadly” admitted to leaving his workplace during his public service hours, according to police.

At a press conference held Friday at the National Police Headquarters in Seodaemun District, western Seoul, a police official confirmed that SONG MINHO, a member of the K-pop boy group WINNER, had broadly admitted to leaving his post during work hours.
According to local broadcaster SBS, SONG MINHO was summoned to the Mapo Police Station in western Seoul in January for an investigation into allegations that he took excessive sick leave at the community center where he was assigned as a social worker and falsified attendance records to cover up unexcused absences.
“We questioned the subject three times, conducted a search and seizure, and conducted a digital analysis. We will determine whether charges are warranted based on the evidence gathered,” the official said.
SONG MINHO began working as a civil servant in March 2023 and completed his service on December 23. Allegations that he frequently failed to report for work or neglected his duties were subsequently reported by the media.
The Military Manpower Administration announced its plan to strengthen service management by improving the welfare management system, including introducing electronic travel verification procedures and subdividing disciplinary sanctions for violators of service regulations: from the current simple “warning” to “shortened vacation” and “pay reduction.”
