TAEYEON
GIRLS’ GENERATION member TAEYEON shared a fan statement urging the agency to take responsibility for the cancellation of the Tokyo concert in Japan.

On the 24th, TAEYEON posted the full text of the Global Fan Union’s “Statement of Comments and Compensation Regarding the Cancellation of Taeyeon’s “The TENSE” Concert in Tokyo” on her social media.
In this statement, fans demanded answers regarding SM Entertainment‘s unilateral and inaccurate cancellation notice and requested the announcement of specific compensation measures for the economic and psychological damage caused to fans by this inadequate response.
Earlier, a day after the concert’s cancellation, TAEYEON had stated on a fan communications platform:
“I hate this whole situation and apologize to S♡NE. My performance, achieved through everyone’s efforts and expectations, was taken away in an instant and feels stolen. I don’t know how to express this feeling of emptiness and dejection.“
Since TAEYEON has openly expressed her support for the fan association, attention is now turning to whether SM Entertainment will issue an additional statement regarding the concert cancellation.
Earlier on the 17th, SM Entertainment announced on its official Japanese website that the concert “The TENSE,” marking the 10th anniversary of TAEYEON‘s solo debut and scheduled to be held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo from the 19th to the 20th, had been canceled. The agency stated, “The materials used for the Asian tour have not yet arrived in Japan, and it is very difficult to prepare sufficiently for the concert.“
