ITZY (있지) has unveiled the teaser video and concept photos for its first comeback of 2025 with the track “Girls will be girls.”
Group ITZY will release its new mini-album “GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS” along with the title track of the same name on June 9 at 6 PM KST. Leading up to the release, JYP Entertainment has been sharing various teaser content on its official social media platforms, including a trailer, promotion schedule, concept photos, and the tracklist. At midnight on June 4, ITZY revealed the first teaser for the music video and new concept photos.
The high-quality teaser video is accompanied by a voiceover from LIA, stating: “Someone said ‘Be yourselves,’ so that’s what we did,” leaving a powerful impression. In a tense and suspenseful sequence, LIA is seen running toward an unknown destination, followed by YUNA with a scar under her eye, RYUJIN with a serious expression, YEJI in a high-adrenaline car chase, and CHAERYEONG preparing a crossbow.
Each member confronts a mysterious threat in her own way, sparking curiosity about the adventure they’re about to embark on. The concept photos show the five members as if they were heroines in a mysterious cinematic universe, heightening anticipation for the full music video.
The title track, “Girls will be girls,” is a dynamic dance number featuring a bold rhythm and strong vocal harmonies. It’s already drawing attention for the spectacular performance expected from ITZY, known as K-pop’s performance queens.
On the day of release, June 9, ITZY will host a live countdown at 5 PM KST to celebrate the comeback with fans. At 6 PM KST, all tracks from the “GIRLS WILL BE GIRLS” mini-album will be available on music streaming platforms.
