Suspicions are rising that JU HAK NYEON’s handwritten apology letter may have been written by someone else, following his removal from THE BOYZ over a private life controversy.

After JU HAK NYEON, recently removed from THE BOYZ, released a handwritten apology letter, many are now questioning its authenticity. Some believe it was not written by him, but by another person.
On June 19, online communities began to raise doubts about whether JU HAK NYEON actually wrote the letter himself.
Specifically, users pointed out an oddity in the sentence: “I’m sorry for causing concern due to this unfortunate incident.” In Korean, the word “심려를” (meaning “concern”) was awkwardly broken between syllables across two lines, split between “심” and “려를”, rather than ending naturally, which raised suspicions.
Comments included: “Did he write this on his phone? Or was it sent to him? It looks like he just copied a message straight onto paper,” and, “It’s weird, so I tested it, and when you send the same sentence via KakaoTalk, the word breaks in the exact same way. Looks like he copied a message from Word or KakaoTalk.”
Indeed, when the full apology letter is sent via KakaoTalk, the break in “심려를” occurs exactly between “심” and “려를,” further fueling speculation that the letter was transcribed from a digital message.
JU HAK NYEON is facing major backlash after being seen with a former Japanese adult film actress, with additional rumors of prostitution. These allegations led to his removal from the group and the agency. Although he published what appeared to be a sincere apology letter, the idea that someone else wrote it has only deepened fans’ disappointment.

In the letter released the same day, JU HAK NYEON admitted to attending a late-night drinking gathering with acquaintances on May 30, but stated: “I have never engaged in any illegal acts such as prostitution, as suggested by certain articles or rumors.” He added, “I deeply reflect on my actions and sincerely apologize to those who were shocked.”
THE BOYZ’s agency, One Hundred, officially announced JU HAK NYEON’s departure on June 18, stating:
“As soon as we were informed of JU HAK NYEON’s involvement in a personal controversy, we immediately suspended his activities to carefully assess the facts. Upon evaluation, we determined the issue to be serious and recognized that it had become difficult to maintain the trust necessary for him to continue as an artist. After thorough discussions with the members, we have officially decided to terminate his exclusive contract and confirm his departure from THE BOYZ.”
Additionally, it was confirmed that JU HAK NYEON recently met with a former Japanese adult film actress. Japanese media outlet Shukan Bunshun reported that he met Asuka Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo at the end of last month and has sent an inquiry to One Hundred for confirmation.
