CUBE Entertainment’s new boy band NOWZ is singing about the burning moments of youth.
Rookie group NOWZ (나우즈) releases its very first mini-album “IGNITION” today (July 9), now available on major online music platforms. This album marks a fresh start for the group, symbolizing the moment of “ignition” when inner passion is set ablaze. It features five tracks, including the title song “Everglow.”
In this debut mini-album, NOWZ captures the intense and radiant moments of youth, precisely because of its imperfections. Through this, they deliver a message of warm comfort and strong resonance to the youth of today.
🚀 NOWZ’s rapid sprint with “Everglow”
The title track “Everglow” is an alternative rock song that blends crisp electric guitars with metal sounds. The track conveys a powerful message: “Like a flame that keeps burning even in ashes, I will never go out,” expressing unwavering determination to chase dreams through NOWZ’s intense and bold charm.
Produced by EL CAPITXN, who has worked on numerous hits, the track also features rap lyrics written by members JINHYUK and SIYUN. The music video, released alongside the song, portrays a dystopian world where the members seek light, capturing a fleeting yet hopeful moment of youth.
🌈 A Diverse soundscape for a rising NOWZ
This debut mini-album offers a range of musical styles. The pre-release single “자유롭게 날아 (Fly to the Youth),” featuring I-DLE’s YUQI, who also participated in writing, composing, and producing, is a cinematic soul pop track that highlights NOWZ’s lyrical and refreshing charm.
“Problem child (문제아)” delivers a message of self-acceptance and defying others’ standards, with a tight beat of kicks, snares, and hi-hats layered with a catchy hook and powerful vocals. “Louder” is an energetic dance-pop track with dynamic synths and punchy guitar riffs that burst with youthful energy.
Finally, “일기 (DAY_AND)”, with its light rhythm and emotional sound, is NOWZ’sfirst fan song, expressing its heartfelt desire to share its everyday moments with fans.

As NOWZ celebrates its first debut anniversary, the group recently announced a name change and full rebranding, redefining their identity and declaring their ambitions to rise as a leading group. As their new name suggests, “capturing the present moment with infinite possibilities”, this debut mini-album “IGNITION” is set to showcase their limitless potential.
