The co-ed group TYPOON (made up of Solbi, Woojae, and Wonsub) will make its long-awaited comeback on July 11 with a new digital single titled “SUMMER DREAM”, marking its return after two years. The new track, “퐁당! 푹 (Plouf! Splash)”, is filled with TYPOON’s signature bubbly energy and sensory charm. It’s already being recognized as the essential summer track to cool down listeners this season. This will be its first release since “왜 이러는 걸까”, which came out in September 2023.
The members hyped up their comeback by dropping a teaser video on their personal social media accounts as well as on SOLBI’s YouTube channel, Solbi Is Back (솔비이즈백). In the video, the group is seen enjoying a carefree summer by the sea, radiating TYPOON’s trademark vibrant energy and freshness.
“퐁당! 푹 (Plouf! Splash)” was written and composed by the members themselves, WONSUB led the composition, while SOLBI, WOOJAE, and WONSUB collaborated on the lyrics. The song blends TYPOON’s emotional depth with a festive atmosphere, creating a musical story that’s both touching and joyful. During recording sessions, the members bounced off each other’s ideas and experimented freely, adding even more vibrancy and fun to the final result.
This single blends the emotional sensibility of the mid-2000s with today’s trendy sounds, showcasing the unique appeal that only a co-ed group like TYPOON can deliver. As warm as the summer sun and as refreshing as ocean waves, the track is set to bring a wave of happy nostalgia to longtime fans and an exciting jolt of freshness to new listeners.
