Cube Entertainment’s new group NOWZ (나우즈) has successfully announced its return.
NOWZ (consisting of Hyeonbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, and Siyun) released their very first mini-album “IGNITION” on July 9. The very next day, they kicked off their promotions with a performance on Mnet’s M Countdown, followed by continuous appearances on KBS2’s Music Bank, MBC’s Show! Music Core, and SBS’s Inkigayo, where they performed the title track “Everglow”.
With powerful, synchronized choreography matching the catchy sound of Everglow, NOWZ demonstrated a strong stage presence and delivered a dynamic performance, solidifying its status as a leading rookie of the “Zalpha” generation. At the same time, its pre-released single “Fly to the youth” featuring YUQI (from I-DLE) captivated fans with its refreshing vibe and a completely different visual concept.
Immediately after the album release, the group held a fan showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the launch of “IGNITION”. On this occasion, YUQI participated as the MC and also joined the members on stage to perform “Fly to the youth”, a song she co-produced and featured on, making the moment even more special.
Thanks to this showcase and their music show appearances, NOWZ also made a mark on global music charts. “Everglow” ranked 21st on Spotify’s daily charts in Taiwan and Singapore, and reached 35th place on Korea’s Bugs real-time chart. Furthermore, their first mini-album “IGNITION” entered the iTunes album charts in four countries, proving the group’s musical quality.
“Everglow” is an alternative rock track blending powerful electric guitar and metal sounds, carrying a strong message: “Like a flame that keeps burning even in the ashes, we will never go out.” This energy and determination to chase their dreams has resonated with fans worldwide.
After a busy first week of promotions, NOWZ will continue its activities this week with appearances on various music shows and content to stay close to its fans.
