Singer JAY PARK is releasing a new track.
On July 18 at 6 p.m. KST, JAY PARK will unveil his new digital single “REMEDY” across various music streaming platforms.
Remedy is JAY PARK’s first release since “Keep it sexy (MOMMAE 2) (Feat. Jeon Somi)”, which dropped this past May, roughly two months ago. The track is a synthwave-style song, featuring a dreamy atmosphere and refined instrumentation.
The song’s quality was elevated thanks to the participation of producer Brian Lee, known for his work with global artists such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Post Malone.
On July 17, the day before the release, JAY PARK hosted a special music video preview event for “Remedy” at CGV I’Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul.
Around 200 fans attended the event, where they got an exclusive first look at the “Remedy” music video. The gathering also gave fans insight into the song’s creation, the narrative concept of the video, and behind-the-scenes stories.
JAY PARK shared that the music video was inspired by the idea of “Russian roulette”:
“In a romantic relationship, there are times when both people engage in a never-ending battle of pride, putting the breakup on the line—it reminded me of Russian roulette. Like in the lyrics, both sides bluff, but in the end, they’re each other’s only remedy. That dynamic felt just like Russian roulette,” he explained.
He also reflected on his experience filming alongside actress Chun Woo-hee, whom he met at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards: “I feel sorry for not being more careful physically, but it was really great to build our scenes together through active communication during filming.”
JAY PARK also drew attention by revealing that the lyrics to “Remedy” are entirely in English, and that he had entrusted the Korean translation to Hwang Seok-hee, the renowned translator of major films like Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Avatar.
Finally, during a Q&A session with fans, he spoke about his upcoming plans, announcing the imminent release of a new digital single in Japanese. This song, created in collaboration with a local Japanese producer, will be his very first single in Japanese, raising fans’ anticipation even more.
