AHN SOMYI, former member of DIA, announces her solo debut.
AHN SOMYI, ex-member of the group DIA, has announced her debut as a solo singer.
On July 29, her agency Moden Berry Korea (MBK) stated, “AHN SOMYI will make her solo debut this fall with the release of a new single.”
This new song marks SOMYI’s first individual activity in about eight years, since her debut with DIA.
A notable aspect of this project is the involvement of Kim Min Sol, a contestant from Mnet’s show “I-LAND 2”, who contributed to the lyrics and production, adding artistic depth to the track. Kim Min Sol, a former trainee at WakeOne, gained attention on “I-LAND 2“ with her performance of “Eyes, nose, lips (눈, 코, 입)” alongside Yoon Ji Yoon, which received high praise from Taeyang, the original artist.
AHN SOMYI joined DIA in 2017 and participated in their studio album “YOLO”. She left the group in 2022 for health reasons and later briefly worked as a broadcast jockey (BJ).
Currently, AHN SOMYI is actively preparing her solo single, which will be officially released according to upcoming promotional schedules.
