YOON JISUNG
Singer YOON JISUNG is embarking on a new journey as an actor by starring in a BL (Boys’ Love) drama.

According to a report by media outlet Edaily on August 5, YOON JISUNG will appear in the drama “천둥구름 비바람 (Thunder, Cloud, and Rainstorm)” (working title), playing the role of Lee Iljo.
“Thunder, Cloud, and Rainstorm” is based on a BL novel by author Chaesim. The webtoon of the same name, adapted from the novel, has also been a great success, boasting an average rating of 4.8 out of 5.
YOON JISUNG plays Lee Iljo, a penniless character with no job and no prospects. The protagonist, Seo Jeonghan, reunites with Lee Iljo at his uncle’s funeral after having lost contact for some time. Feeling pity for him, he invites Lee Iljo to live with him.
YOON JISUNG rose to fame in 2017 after appearing on Mnet’s “Produce 101” Season 2, where he debuted as a member of WANNA ONE. He later launched his solo career with his first mini album, “ASIDE.” He made his acting debut in 2021 in SBS’s drama “Let me be your knight,” and has also built a reputation in musical theater with roles in “The Return,” “Something Rotten,” “Happy Oh! Happy,” among others.
Filming for “Thunder, Cloud, and Rainstorm” is currently underway, and the drama is scheduled to air later this year. Discussions are ongoing for its release on an OTT (streaming) platform.
