ROSÉ, member of the group BLACKPINK, has been nominated in eight categories at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), one of the leading American award ceremonies in the field of popular music.
According to the list of nominees published on August 5 (local time) on the official VMA website, ROSÉ was selected in seven categories, including “Video of the Year” and “Song of the Year”, for her duet “APT” with Bruno Mars.
Additionally, the track “Toxic till the end”, from her solo album ROSIE, was nominated in the “Best K-pop” category, making ROSÉ eligible for a total of eight awards.
In addition to the major categories, “APT” was also nominated for “Best Collaboration”, “Best Pop”, “Best Direction”, “Best Art Direction”, and “Best Visual Effects.”
The artist who received the most nominations at this year’s VMAs is Lady Gaga, with 12 nominations, followed by Bruno Mars, ROSÉ’s collaborator on APT, with 11 nominations.
ROSÉ expressed her joy in a video posted today (August 6) on social media:
“I just found out that I’ve been nominated in eight categories at the VMAs… I’m in shock and honestly don’t know what to say.”
