VCHA - KG
KG, a member of the global girl group VCHA, has officially ended her exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment.

On August 8, JYP Entertainment announced:
“JYP America and KG have mutually agreed to terminate the existing contract tying her to the group VCHA. Both parties wish each other the best for the future.”
Last December, KG announced via her social media that she intended to leave the group, citing “unfair treatment by certain staff members and an environment detrimental to her mental health.” She also filed a lawsuit to terminate her contract, revealing an open conflict with the agency. At that time, she accused the company of promoting eating disorders, imposing excessive workloads, restricting her private life, and problems with the payment system, stating:
“I don’t want to make music in such an environment. I hope this decision will help bring change to the K-pop system.”
In response, JYP America stated:
“False or exaggerated information was unilaterally released externally. We will respond through legal procedures.”
VCHA officially debuted in January 2024 as part of the global project “A2K,” a collaboration between JYP Entertainment and Republic Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group in the U.S. Originally a six-member group, they had already seen KAYLEE leave due to health reasons. With KG’s departure, VCHA recently rebranded as GIRLSET and now continues activities as a four-member group: LEXI, CAMILA, KENDALL, and SAVANNA.
