KATSEYE released the music and music video for the digital single “Animal” simultaneously worldwide today (24th) at 1:00 p.m. (Korean time).
This new song “Animal” sharply explores the tension between the brilliant appearance on stage and the unbridled energy that awakens on the other side. It elegantly expresses the irrepressible instinct and potential wildness within through a driving rhythm, a dynamic beat, and a highly addictive hook that sticks in the head. Provocative lyrics such as “You move like an animal” and captivating vocals instantly captivate listeners’ feelings.
Global singer-songwriter ED SHEERAN participated in co-composing to lend it strength, and JOHNNY MCDAID of SNOW PATROL, Grammy-winning producer BLAKE SLATKIN, as well as hitmaker OMER FEDI joined forces.
The music video that unveiled itself sensually depicted, like a sensual suspense film, the moment when reason and instinct collide. In addition to the bold choreography and facial expressions reminiscent of an animal’s claws, legendary Hollywood actress DEMI MOORE makes a surprise cameo appearance and leaves an intense impression. Direction was entrusted once again to director CODY CRITCHELOE, who had handled KATSEYE’s hits like “Touch”, trendily capturing their relaxed confidence.
KATSEYE, who made their debut in the United States based on the K-pop methodology of HYBE led by Chairman BANG SI HYUK, has achieved remarkable growth in just 2 years since their debut. In addition to conquering major festivals such as “COACHELLA”, the group confirmed its status as a global trend by winning 3 crowns, including New Artist of the Year at the “2026 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” last May, and being nominated in 2 categories at the “68th GRAMMY AWARDS”.
KATSEYE’s 3rd EP album, “WILD”, in which the new song “Animal” is included, will be released on August 14.
