G-DRAGON
BIGBANG’s leader, G-DRAGON (real name: Kwon Ji Yong), experienced an awkward moment due to fans of SEUNGRI, a former member of BIGBANG.

From August 8 to 10, G-DRAGON held a three-day solo concert at the AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong as part of his large-scale world tour “Übermensch”.
Thanks to G-DRAGON’s massive popularity, all tickets were sold out, but the inappropriate behavior of some SEUNGRI fans in the audience drew attention online. When G-DRAGON looked in their direction, one female attendee held up an LED sign that read:
« Ramène SEUNGRI ». (vidéo)
Caught off guard, G-DRAGON quickly turned his head away and continued the show without saying anything.
Some have commented that this behavior reflects the style of the singer she supports. SEUNGRI himself had previously leveraged G-DRAGON’s influence to draw attention. In January 2023, during an event in Cambodia, he said, “One day, I will bring G-DRAGON (GD) here,” prompting loud cheers from female fans. At other overseas events, he also performed songs composed by G-DRAGON. In response to SEUNGRI’s actions, BIGBANG’s current members, G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG, showed no reaction.
SEUNGRI debuted in the music industry in 2006 as part of BIGBANG, a five-member group with G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, DAESUNG, and T.O.P. While receiving huge support in Korea and internationally, he became embroiled in a series of scandals at the end of 2018 related to the Burning Sun club, where he served as an executive director. In March 2019, he simultaneously announced his departure from the group and his retirement from the entertainment industry.
In January 2020, SEUNGRI was indicted on a total of eight charges: prostitution, procuring prostitution, violation of the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, aggravated embezzlement, occupational embezzlement, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, habitual gambling, and violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act. During his military trial, he was also charged with instigating aggravated assault. Although he appealed, in May 2022 the Supreme Court found him guilty on all nine charges and sentenced him to one year and six months in prison.
Classified as an alternative service worker, SEUNGRI was released from Yeoju Prison in February 2023.
