The song “Golden”, from the soundtrack of the Netflix animated film “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS”, has risen to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, the leading singles chart in the United States.

According to an article announcing the Billboard chart results published on August 11 (local time) in the U.S., “Golden”, performed by HUNTR/X, the virtual girl group featured in “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS”, reached No. 1 on the Hot 100.
“Golden” is the ninth K-pop-related song to top the Hot 100. Prior to this, among K-pop artists, BTS (with 6 songs), Jimin (1 song), and Jungkook (1 song) had previously reached the top spot. Notably, this is the first time a song performed by female artists has achieved No. 1, giving it special significance.
During the chart’s tracking period, “Golden” recorded 31.7 million streams, an increase of 9% from the previous week. Its radio audience grew to 8.4 million (+71%), and sales reached 7,000 units (+35%).
“Golden” entered the Hot 100 in early July at No. 81, then climbed successively to No. 23, No. 6, No. 4, No. 2, and No. 2 again before finally reaching the top.
In early August, “Golden” also reached No. 1 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, accomplishing the feat of topping both charts.
“Golden” was composed by Lee Jae and performed by singers Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami.
