On August 12, EJAE posted a screenshot of the Billboard Hot 100 chart showing “Golden” at number 1 on her social media.
She added the comment: “I’m speechless. Tears are simply coming to my eyes. Thank you to everyone who has sent me their love.”
“Golden” is a song by the fictional girl group HUNTR/X from “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS,” performed by EJAE, a former SM Entertainment trainee, along with singers Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami. All three artists are of Korean-American descent.
