The group SEVENTEEN, currently serving as UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador, has made a major donation to support young people.

On August 12, in celebration of International Youth Day, SEVENTEEN delivered $250,000 (approximately 350 million won) to UNESCO, representing the proceeds from a charity auction held on the digital commerce content platform Jupiter Presents: Sakai x Seventeen. This donation will be used to strengthen the Global Youth Grant Scheme, a program launched jointly by SEVENTEEN and UNESCO.
SEVENTEEN stated through its agency, Pledis Entertainment:
“Since our debut, we have grown while expressing, through our music infused with sincere experiences and emotions, the many moments of youth. International Youth Day therefore holds a very special meaning for us. We send a message of support to all young people around the world who continue to pursue their dreams today.”
In 2023, SEVENTEEN became the first K-pop act to be invited to the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum, held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, where the group delivered a speech and performed. Last year, they were also appointed as UNESCO’s first Youth Goodwill Ambassador and donated $1 million (1.4 billion won) to establish a fund aimed at promoting the creativity and well-being of young people worldwide.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN will kick off its world tour on September 13–14 at the main stadium of the Incheon Asiad.
