The soundtrack for Netflix’s animated film “KPOP DEMON HUNTERS” has secured the #2 spot on the Billboard 200, the main U.S. albums chart, for the third consecutive week.

Billboard reported in a chart forecast article on August 18 that “the KPOP DEMON HUNTERS soundtrack maintained its #2 position from the previous week, continuing its climb despite being in its 8th week of release.” The album debuted on the chart in late June at #8, and has consistently stayed near the top with the following positions: #3, #2, #5, #3, #2, #2, #2.
The Billboard 200 ranks albums by combining physical album sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA) from digital downloads.
During this week’s tracking period, the KPOP DEMON HUNTERS soundtrack earned 104,000 album units, marking a 4% increase from the previous week and its highest weekly total since release.
The soundtrack’s lead single, “Golden,” is targeting the #1 spot on the Hot 100, the main singles chart, for the second consecutive week. Last week, “Golden” already reached #1 on the Hot 100, becoming the first K-pop song performed by a female artist to top the chart.
