ARENA Homme+ has released the September photoshoot and interview with OH MY GIRL’s MIMI. In the photos, MIMI showcased another side of herself with a sensual and masculine look.
What does she think about winning the Best New Female Entertainer award at the “Blue Dragon Series Awards”?
“I have mixed feelings: I wonder if I really deserve this award, and at the same time, it feels like a symbol of the love so many people are giving me, which makes me grateful. But I don’t want to get stuck on that fact alone; I want to use the love I’m receiving to keep moving forward and show my growth.”
As she says, MIMI is someone who moves forward every day with a healthy energy.
“The past and the future are important, but I try to focus on what I can do right now. I’m thankful to be able to work. Life can’t always be full of happiness, so I try to find solutions within challenges and turn things into positive emotions.”
She also shared her thoughts on variety shows, now an inseparable part of her career.
“Above all, it’s fun. Music teaches me a lot, but variety shows let me show different sides of who I am. Unlike music, where I show a polished version of myself, on TV I can show Mimi just as she is. Starting in entertainment also made me think about becoming a better person.”
