HWANG SEONG BIN
Actor HWANG SEONG BIN is attracting public attention by taking on roles that cross various genres.

According to his agency P&B Entertainment, on August 23, HWANG SEONG BIN will appear in Netflix’s new series “Aema”.
The Netflix series “Aema” tells the story of the birth of erotic cinema that shook Korea in the 1980s and bravely highlights the dark reality hidden behind the glamorous spotlight. The drama follows top star Jeong Hee Ran (played by Lee Ha Nee) and rookie actress Shin Joo Ae (played by Bang Hyorin), who courageously face this reality.
In the series, HWANG SEONG BIN plays Lee Sang Yeop, a former boxer turned rookie actor. His character makes his film debut by starring in “Madame Aema”. Naturally shy, he had not stood out in the sports world, but through “Madame Aema”, his life takes a turning point and he begins a new chapter. HWANG SEONG BIN plans to bring this character, a naïve young man discovering courage and confidence, to life by enriching the story with his detailed and nuanced acting.
HWANG SEONG BIN shared:
“It is a great honor for me to participate in such a meaningful project. I worked very hard physically to properly embody the character Sang Yeop. From the audition, I consulted with the director and devoted myself to training to physically prepare for the role. It was a true challenge to take on a genre quite different from what I had done before. I felt a strong connection to the character, which helped me approach the role sincerely. I hope viewers will enjoy the series “Aema”.”
Currently, HWANG SEONG BIN also appears in the SBS weekend drama “Try: We become miracles” playing Kim Joo Yang, a member of the rugby team, establishing himself as a highly promising next-generation actor.
The Netflix series “Aema”, featuring HWANG SEONG BIN, was released on August 22.
