The group I-DLE is finally releasing a digital version of a song composed by MIYEON.
Cube Entertainment announced through the group’s official social media channels (members MIYEON, MINNIE, SOYEON, YUQI, and SHUHUA) that a surprise teaser for MIYEON’s digital single “SKY WALKING” was revealed on the 27th, with the official release set for the 28th at 6 p.m. KST.
The teaser features an image of a gift box labeled “Sky Walking” placed on a hotel luggage cart, catching fans’ attention. Ahead of the song’s release, MIYEON had already showcased a special clip in which she transformed into various roles, including a hotel staff member and a ballerina, highlighting her versatile charm. The release of “Sky walking” is expected to be a special treat for fans, following that clip.
“Sky walking” is a track written and composed by MIYEON herself, blending poetic lyrics with her clear, refreshing vocals. This song marks MIYEON’s first step as a singer-songwriter, followed by her participation in writing and composing “Unstoppable,” a track from I-DLE’s 8th mini album “WE ARE” released last May, further showcasing her artistic growth.
“Sky walking” was first performed during the Seoul stop of (G)I-DLE’s third world tour, “2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR [iDOL],” in August of last year, and later made its broadcast debut at “KCON GERMANY 2024” in October. A special clip was also released in December, generating significant buzz.
I-DLE, MIYEON’s group, recently won “International Artist of the Year” at the 2025 TMELive International Music Awards, held on August 23 at the Galaxy Arena in Macau. On October 3, they are set to release their Japanese EP “i-dle,” marking another step in their global expansion.
