The group ATEEZ has completed preparations for its Japanese comeback with a teaser worthy of a movie.
At midnight KST on September 15, their agency KQ Entertainment released on the official YouTube channel the teaser for the music video of “Ash”, the title track of ATEEZ’s second Japanese studio album, “ASHES TO LIGHT.”
The video opens with a scene of YUNHO, in darkness, gasping for breath, immediately drawing attention. Then, the members appear one after another, wandering in search of the album’s title “A new hope through hardship”, building a suffocating sense of tension.
ATEEZ unveils the first teaser for the Japanese music video of its new track “Ash”, featuring visuals worthy of a fantasy movie. The members approach YUNHO, lying on the sand, as if to surround him. With the lyrics “I’m dancing in the Ash,” YUNHO is shown escaping from an overturned car, and the video ends, leaving a powerful impression.
With a mysterious and dreamlike atmosphere reminiscent of a true fantasy film, the teaser highlights the dazzling visuals of the members and an artistic direction that raises anticipation for the upcoming album to its peak.
“ASHES TO LIGHT” is ATEEZ’s second Japanese studio album, coming about four and a half years after its first studio album “INTO THE A TO Z”, released in 2021.
The album contains a total of 9 tracks: 5 new songs, including the title track “Ash”, “12 Midnight”, “Tippy toes”, “Face”, and “Crescendo”, as well as 4 previously released tracks: “Not okay”, “Days”, “Birthday”, and “Forevermore.”
In a preview video released earlier, snippets of all the tracks from “ASHES TO LIGHT” were unveiled. ATEEZ’s unique vocal tone and singing ability sparked an explosive reaction from global fans.
On September 13, ATEEZ kicked off their 2025 Japanese tour “IN YOUR FANTASY.” After wrapping up its concert in Saitama, the group will hold a comeback showcase on September 17, the release day of “ASHES TO LIGHT”, to meet with local fans. They will then continue with concerts on September 20 and 21 in Nagoya, followed by October 22 and 23 in Kobe, keeping the excitement going.
ATEEZ’s second Japanese studio album, “ASHES TO LIGHT”, will be released at midnight KST on September 17.
