CBX
SM ENTERTAINMENT has responded to the statement made by the group CBX (CHEN, BAEKHYUN, XIUMIN).

On October 29, SM ENTERTAINMENT released an official statement, clarifying: “We have clearly informed these three artists that the resolution of disputes and the group’s activities are two separate matters.”
The agency added: “Regarding the settlement of the dispute, we have won all previous cases. Therefore, the only request made to the three members was to pay 10% of the revenue from their individual activities, as stipulated in the original agreement dated June 18, 2023. However, this obligation has still not been fulfilled.”
Concerning the trio’s participation in EXO’s activities, SM ENTERTAINMENT explained: “Due to the numerous unjustified disputes, trust between both parties has been severely damaged. The impact on the group EXO, its fans, and the other members has been significant. It is therefore natural that the trio should first honor the terms of the agreement and demonstrate sincere efforts to restore trust before any resumption of joint activities.”
SM ENTERTAINMENT also stated: “Contrary to their claim that they accepted all conditions proposed after the second mediation hearing on October 2, the three members actually filed an objection on October 16. We therefore express our deep regret over this distortion of the facts.”
Finally, the agency concluded: “We will do our utmost to support EXO’s scheduled activities starting in December.”
This statement follows the earlier one released by INB100, CBX’s agency, which said: “After the second mediation hearing on October 2, we accepted all the conditions proposed by SM ENTERTAINMENT and expressed our willingness to reach an agreement to enable EXO’s full-group return at the end of the year.”
INB100 also added: “The members of CBX deeply value the sincerity of their fans and, wishing to see EXO reunited, have chosen the path of reconciliation. A final agreement for the group’s full activities will be established as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, EXO recently announced a fan meeting in December and the release of a new album in the first half of next year. These activities will bring together SUHO, CHANYEOL, D.O., KAI, SEHUN, and LAY, the Chinese member who recently returned after his departure from SM.
