G-DRAGON
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) promotional ambassador, singer G-DRAGON, will perform at the official welcome dinner of the APEC summit, to be held on October 31 in Gyeongju.
G-DRAGON will take the stage during the official dinner held in the grand banquet hall of the Lahan Hotel in Gyeongju.
This dinner will bring together heads of state and senior representatives from the 21 APEC member countries. As the only K-pop artist invited to the event, G-DRAGON is expected to deliver an innovative and creative performance.
Appointed as the promotional ambassador for the APEC summit last July, G-DRAGON is recognized as a true “cultural icon” for his global influence across various fields such as fashion, art, and technology.
The APEC promotional video, in which he appears alongside President Lee Jae Myung, has generated significant buzz, surpassing 17 million views and being praised as “a new benchmark in international event communication.”
Despite a busy schedule due to his world tour, G-DRAGON participated in this Korea–U.S. initiative without any compensation.
The APEC summit organizing committee stated: “Thanks to his global influence, G-DRAGON is the ideal figure to convey the values of connection and sustainability that APEC promotes. We look forward to an outstanding performance from him at the welcome dinner.”
Meanwhile, following his concerts on October 20 and 21 in Osaka, G-DRAGON will continue his third world tour “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [ÜBERMENSCH]”, with scheduled dates in November in Taipei and Hanoi, and in December in Seoul.
