The leader of XG, JURIN, confirms her solo debut with a project reflecting her inner strength and identity.
On November 8, JURIN announced via her official SNS that she will debut as a solo artist under the name JURIN ASAYA, with the release of her single “PS118 (feat. Rapsody)” on November 18, marking the official start of her solo activities. The teaser for “PS118”, released last month on the official XGALX account, confirms that this project is indeed JURIN’s first solo release, increasing anticipation among fans worldwide.
The images released show a cinematic teaser highlighting the intense presence and visuals of JURIN and the featured RAPSODY. Outdoor shots with a classic car and old structures create a raw, cinematic contrast, while scenes in a dimly lit restaurant and black-and-white portraits generate curiosity and narrative tension around this solo project.
“PS118 (feat. Rapsody)” is inspired by a journey through the infinite universe and depicts JURIN’s evolution and identity. The song expresses the artist’s inner strength as she follows her own path and vibrations without being influenced by others’ opinions. Sharp raps and powerful beats illustrate the moment when JURIN expands to become a galaxy of her own.
The debut single features American rapper RAPSODY, a symbol of realism in hip-hop. Known for her refined lyrics and social messages, RAPSODY gained global attention for her contribution to KENDRICK LAMAR’s album “TO PIMP A BUTTERFLY”, won “Lyricist of the Year” at the BET HIP HOP AWARDS, and was described by DR. DRE as a “favorite female MC.” Her fourth studio album “PLEASE DON’T CRY” (2024) and the track “3:AM” earned her a Grammy Award. With JURIN, she delivers on “PS118” an old-school hip-hop track full of passion and energy.

The group XG (Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria, Maya, Cocona), globally recognized for its original music and performances, continues its international success with entries on the Billboard 200 and major appearances, including headlining the Sahara stage at the COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL.
