On November 14, the agency ANTENNA released a preview video of KYUHYUN’s EP album, “THE CLASSIC,” on its official YouTube channel.
The preview reveals excerpts from the five main tracks of the album, including the title “첫눈처럼”, as well as “낮잠”, “Goodbye, my friend”, “추억에 살아”, and “나침반”.
In “낮잠,” the soft sounds of piano, bass, and strings invite listeners into the classical world unique to KYUHYUN. “첫눈처럼” stands out with a lyrical melody, starting calmly before building in intensity through KYUHYUN’s poignant singing. “Goodbye, my friend” leaves a deep resonance thanks to his emotional and convincing voice. “추억에 살아” blends warm acoustic guitar and strings to create an intensely emotional atmosphere. Finally, “나침반” adds a dramatic touch with flowing piano lines and strings, perfectly complementing KYUHYUN’s ballad signature and heightening fans’ anticipation.
“THE CLASSIC” is KYUHYUN’s first new album since his studio album “COLORS,” released in November last year. Composed of ballads with classical accents, the album benefits from the support of renowned professionals such as the agency director Yu Hui Yeol, as well as Sim Hyunbo, Min Yeonjae, and Seo Donghwan, ensuring maximum musical quality.
Particularly, KYUHYUN is expected to express with finesse the emotions unique to each song. His intense voice, combined with a pure sound highlighting the instruments, promises to elevate the sophistication of these ballads.
