The groups CORTIS and KICKFLIP are listed among the promising artists expected to lead the music market in the future.
According to the music discovery app Shazam of the Apple Music platform, on January 13, CORTIS and KICKFLIP were selected for the “Shazam Fast Forward 2026” list of promising music artists, composed of 65 acts across 22 countries.
Every year, Shazam predicts the promising artists who will lead the music market through the “Shazam Fast Forward” list and highlights their music. Artists previously included on the list include the girl group AESPA (in 2021) and pop star Benson Boone (in 2023).
The group CORTIS, which debuted last August, rose to first place on the national Shazam chart with the track “Go!” just one month after its debut, and in October of the same year, “Go!” and “FaSHioN” simultaneously entered the “Top 10” of the Shazam Global K-pop chart.
KICKFLIP reached 48th place on the Apple Music daily popular titles chart in South Korea last September with the title track “처음 불러보는 노래” from its third mini-album.
In addition, the “Shazam Fast Forward 2026” list also includes British pop singer Alesha Rose and Nigerian singer Kid Cudder.
