BTS’s fifth studio album, “ARIRANG”, has begun a series of records even before its release.

On January 21 (local time), according to the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, “ARIRANG” climbed to 1st place on the “Countdown Charts Global”. This chart lists the most pre-saved albums or singles worldwide before their release and serves as an indicator of global fan interest in the music.
“ARIRANG” surpassed one million pre-saves just two days after pre-saves opened on Spotify on the 16th, signaling a blazing start, then exceeded two million by the fourth day, showing steady growth. In addition, in the “Top 10 Countdowns”, which tracks daily progress, the album maintained first place from the 2nd to the 6th consecutive day. BTS thus demonstrated an overwhelming presence among renowned artists like BRUNO MARS and CHARLI XCX, also preparing comebacks.
The work with the highest number of pre-saves in Spotify history is TAYLOR SWIFT’s 12th studio album, “THE LIFE OF A SHOWGIRL”, released on October 3 last year, with around six million pre-saves. BTS’s new album will be released in about two months, with attention focused on the possibility of a new record.
Expected to generate explosive excitement, “ARIRANG” will be unveiled on March 20. Focus is on the new records that will be set upon release, the milestones the group will achieve, and the imprint it will leave in music history.
In addition, BTS’s “ARIRANG” will include a total of 14 tracks. The new album is expected to resonate with music fans worldwide by addressing universal emotions such as the group’s identity, nostalgia, and deep love. After the album release, BTS will embark on a major world tour starting April 9 at the main stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex.
