ENHYPEN - SUNGHOON
SUNGHOON of ENHYPEN has been selected as an official torchbearer for the “2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics”.
According to ENHYPEN’s agency, BELIFT LAB, SUNGHOON was appointed as a torchbearer upon the recommendation of SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS, the official sponsor of the Winter Olympic Games, the agency stated this Saturday.
Details of the event, including the location and time at which SUNGHOON will carry the torch, have not been disclosed at the time of publication.
The ENHYPEN member was also part of the national reserve figure skating team prior to his debut and currently serves as an ambassador for the Korean Olympic and Sports Committee.
SUNGHOON is the second K-pop artist to take part in an Olympic torch relay outside of Korea, following JIN of BTS at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics.
“I know the passion and efforts of the national athletes who have worked hard for these Winter Olympics. So I simply want to support them.”
SUNGHOON stated in a press release published this Saturday.
“It was my personal dream to participate in the Olympics when I was an athlete. I am happy and honored to realize this dream as a singer.”
ENHYPEN recently released its seventh EP album, “THE SIN: VANISH”, on January 16. The album sold 2.07 million copies in its first week.
